![]() About Us |
On 13 March 1994, SAFRA Resort & Country Club was officially opened by Mr Goh Chok Tong, Prime Minister, past Defence Ministers, Dr Goh Keng Swee, Mr Lim Kim San, Mr Howe Yoon Chong and the then Defence Minister, Dr Yeo Ning Hong. The Resort currently has a membership base of about 9,000. With the addition of the Sea Sports Centre, which was officially opened on 28 June 1997, it also offers a separate membership that caters to NSmen who enjoy sea sports activities. Offering premium facilities is one half of a whole. SAFRA Resort & Country Club strives to extend quality service to its members. In July 1997, the Resort marked her commitment to service quality when she attained ISO 9002 status, which makes her the first country club on homeland to do so. And now, in the new millennium, with effect from 17 August 2001, the Club has been renamed National Service Resort & Country Club (NSRCC) to better reflect the composition of its membership comprising NSmen from the Army, Navy, Airforce, Civil Defence and Police forces. 17 August has also been designated as National Service Day. It was on this very day of 1967 that the first batch of NSmen reported for National Service. Many of our members belong to this pioneer group. The Club has another 18-hole golf course in Kranji. Jointly funded by our NSRCC, Civil Defence Association for NSmen (CDANS) and Singapore Police Association for NSmen (SPANS), with the completion of the new golf course in year 2004, many more of our NSmen will be able to enjoy country-club lifestyle at affordable rates. To all the NSmen out there, look no further the next time you want to unwind and relax. Step in to NSRCC and be welcomed. National Service Resort & Country Club - where NSmen belong!
