USGA HANDICAPPING SYSTEM COMPLIANCE
We wish to inform you that old scores received before 1st July 2006, will be
purged from the Golf Handicapping System. This policy is mandated by SGA
under the USGA Handicapping System Requirement for the purpose of renewing
the license. It is mandatory for the Club to comply and it is scheduled to
start from 1st December 2008.
In connection with the above, members are advised checked their handicap on
or after 1st December 2008 for change, if any. For those of you who have
maintained less then 20 scores in the system will probably see a slight
change in your handicap index. Thank you for your kind attention.
Ball in Flower Bed
Our Club’s local rule states
that all areas of Flower Bed (FB) specially marked with an FB sign are regarded
as Ground Under Repair (GUR). In this instance, Rule 25 applies if your ball is
near to, inside or lost in it. It also states that ‘play is prohibited’ when
your ball is in the FB areas. If the FB sign is not displayed in the planted
area, you will have to play the ball as it lies and Rule 13-1 applies. Click
here for details.
USGA Handicapping System Requirements
Failure to submit scorecards for 6 continuous months will result in
members’ Handicap Index becoming INACTIVE
We wish to inform you that many members still do not submit their scorecards
after games played, despite several reminders on Internet, our RV magazine, and
notices around the Club-house. Members may wish to know that Scorecard can be
submitted through NSRCC’s website from the comfort of your home. Please feel
free to call Membership Centre at 65408555 should you need a login password.

More slots allocated for Internet golf booking
Since the Resort introduced Internet golf booking back in 1997, we have
progressively increased the number of golf slots allocated for internet booking.
We hope by moving toward full internet golf booking, all members will have an
equal chance to book for a golf slot.
Currently, 30% of the weekend golf slots in Changi are allocated to internet
booking. With effect from 1st September 2008, this allocation would be increased
to 50%.
In addition, the Resort plans to allocate all golf slots to Internet booking by
1 September 2009. Upon implementation of full internet booking, in-person
booking will still be taken at the golf counter. However, these in-person
booking will also be processed by Internet booking system. Hence, both forms of
booking will have equal chance of acquiring a slot.
